The third installment in Climate READi’s Climate 101 training series, Climate-Resilient Investment Prioritization 101 provides a high-level summary of key concepts and methods outlined in Investing for Climate Resilience in the Power System: A Guide for Adaptation Prioritization and Decision Making. These resources provide guidance on how to compare adaptation options and evaluate investments in support of making decisions that promote power system climate resilience. The training is designed for asset managers, engineers and system operators, executives, planners, and regulators who may need to make or assess power system investments associated with climate resilience.
By the end of the modules, participants should be able to understand:
- How to scope, source, and evaluate climate and system data that can be used to compare resilience investment options
- How to set up the models needed to identify impacts and consequences from climate events that inform decision-making on minimizing risk
- How to evaluate resilience adaptations and investments using two different approaches
