Climate Vulnerability Considerations for the Power Sector: Nuclear Generation Assets

EPRI’s Climate REsilience and ADaptation initiative (READi)  is dedicated to developing a comprehensive and consistent approach to assessing physical climate risk to power industry assets and systems and identifying a framework to address those risks and enhance the resilience of the systems. This report documents a literature review to characterize asset vulnerability to climate change for the nuclear power plant (NPP) asset class, documenting the current state of knowledge on the topic as well as identifying research gaps. This report serves as one volume in a series of related literature reviews that cover all aspects of the electric power sector.
