The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) is conducting on-going analysis of the Environmental Protection Agency’s recently released rule ‘Carbon Pollution Emission Guidelines for Existing Stationary Sources: Electric Utility Generating Units’, which forms one part of President Obama’s ‘Clean Power Plan’. This rule was finalized in August 2015, and published in the Federal Register on October 23, 2015. An early result of EPRI’s analysis summarized the different compliance pathways available to states under this rule, and identified key features of each pathway, with page references to the final text. This report compiles in one document the summaries of all four major compliance pathways.
