Midcontinent Independent System Operator, Inc. (MISO) wanted to expand the use of EPRI's EGEAS software model among its members to facilitate communication and planning for a proposed carbon reduction rule. MISO brought EGEAS to the attention of the Organization of MISO States (OMS), and helped OMS members purchase EGEAS and obtain training.
