The International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) are hosting the fourth annual workshop in their Challenges in Electricity Decarbonisation series on 10 October in Paris, France. This workshop will focus on “Electrification and its Implications for the Electricity Sector.”
The workshop will consist of four sessions:
- Technological Developments in Electrification
- Implications for the US Electric Industry
- Implications for the European Electric Industry
- Keynote Panel on Security, Geopolitics, Policy, and Electric Sector Impacts
The EPRI-IEA Challenges in Electricity Decarbonisation Expert Workshop series brings together leading experts from government, academia, think-tanks and the private sector from around the world to share experiences relating to decarbonizing the electricity system. Past workshops have performed deep dives into a diverse set of topics including near-term market structure, long-term decarbonisation pathways, and security of supply and resource adequacy.
The meeting will be informal in nature and held under Chatham House Rule.
